Tax Description
Different categories of properties:

Residual (residential) or base rate
Six dwellings or more
Non-residential
Serviced vacant lot
Reference
Number of the Town tax By-law.
Tax data
The taxable value of your property used as the base for tax calculation.
Rate
Property tax rate per $100 of taxable value set according to the category of property.
Total
Tax amount for the fiscal year.
Other amount due / Penalty / Interest / Credit / Amount not due
This section shows the credits to be received or the sums to be paid by the taxpayer relative to transactions prior to the date on which the tax bill was sent.

These could include amounts relative to property tax, water consumption and real estate transfer duties.
Message
You can pay your tax bill in many different ways:

By mail
By postdated cheques using the last day of each deadline or by bank money order or by mail money order made out to the Town of Mount Royal. Don’t forget to include the detachable stubs corresponding to the payment deadlines.

N.B. Please allow for sufficient delivery time as your payment will be credited to your account on the day that the Town receives it or on the date shown on the cheque if it is postdated.

In person
At all Banque Nationale branches and participating financial institutions,

or

At the Town Hall service counter by paying cash, by cheque or by INTERAC. The counter is open from 08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, and is closed on holidays. You can also drop off your envelope containing your cheques and the detachable stubs in the mail chute located on the façade of the Town Hall.

N.B. Your payment will be credited to your account on the day that the Town receives it or on the date shown on the cheque if it is postdated.

Electronically
On the Banque Nationale Website or bank machine or at most financial institutions.

N.B. If you make your payment over the Internet or at a bank machine, please allow for sufficient delivery time for theTown to receive the payment on time, thus avoiding interes charges and a penalty.

May 24, 2011. Deadline for the 2nd instalment.

Attach this stub to your cheque to pay the second instalment if you have opted to pay your taxes in two equal instalments.

This amount indicates the sum of the second instalment to be paid.
Stub No 1 Due date
February 23, 2011. Deadline for the 1st instalment.
