Commercial areas
Five distinct commercial areas provide easy access to goods and services. The zones differ in makeup and size, and range from Town Centre, which caters mainly to a local and centrally located market, to Rockland Centre, a regional mall located next to the Metropolitan Expressway.
Schools
Town of Mount Royal is home to five primary and two secondary schools, all known for their quality. Since 2006, specially designated school corridors around the primary schools have improved the safety of Mount Royal schoolchildren who walk to and from school.

Range of services
From health care to fire prevention, from pick-up of recyclable materials to daycare services, Town of Mount Royal delivers one of the most complete arrays of services in the Montréal area. But above and beyond the basics, the Town offers residents a number of innovative specialized services, most notably for seniors.
Sports and recreation
Mount Royal residents are resolutely active. They play many sports, attend cultural events and go on family outings. The programming of the Town’s Recreation, Culture and Community Activities Department ensures they can register for a wide range of activities.
