Despite the fact that French and English are the Town’s official languages, it’s not uncommon to hear the rich inflections of Arabic, Italian, Greek, Vietnamese and other languages in public places. Our Recreation, Culture and Community Activities Department is always pleased to receive offers from volunteers, whether for a year, a day or even an hour. Volunteering is an opportunity for you to provide assistance and comfort to the Town’s more vulnerable residents or to help ensure the success of community events.

Our four-legged friends

In Town of Mount Royal, cats and dogs receive more than just caresses. In fact, we’re so fond of them we want to ensure they are protected and well cared for. That’s why all dogs and cats are required to wear a tag (also called a licence). Local dog owners will also find a dog run where their pets can stretch their legs and socialize.
