On Monday, June 17, 2013 at 19:00 at Town Hall (90 Roosevelt Avenue).
The Sun Youth Bike Patrol will be in your neighbourhood from June 10, to August 16, 2013.
Bike patrollers will interact with citizens and cooperate with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). They will respond to requests for assistance, provide prevention tips, report incivilities, propose solutions to various types of problems, intervene with the public, issue prevention notices, visit businesses, schools, metro stations, parks, senior residences, day camps, and will organize prevention activities.
The Town offers residents the opportunity to reuse tulip bulbs dug up from Town flower beds. One bag per address while supplies last. Proof of residency required. No guarantee of blooming or specification of colours.
Thursday, June 13, from 10:00 to 18:00 in Connaught Park at the Green Patrol kiosk.
Sunday, June 16, from 11:00 to 14:00 behind the Rec Centre (60 Roosevelt Avenue).
The twelve kids from our Townschool Council look forward to meeting you this Sunday, just steps away from the inflatable games behind the Rec Centre, to discuss environmental protection issues and get you to try their quizzes and skill games. Show them your support!
From April 1, to September 30, the Town is providing a special pick-up service. Residents wishing to dispose of branches less than 20 cm in diameter and less than 2 m long can place them in bundles on the property next to the sidewalk with the cut ends facing the street. The equivalent of up to 20 branches less than 20 cm in diameter will be accepted. In case of uncertainty or to request a special branch pick-up, please call Frédéric Legault at 514-734-4123 no later than noon on Wednesday for pick-up on Thursday. Requests received after the deadline will be handled on Thursday of the following week.
Note: This special pick-up service is provided exclusively for property owners and not for landscape contractors. Landscape contractors are responsible for disposal of any wood chips and branches they cut.
Remember that you must hire a private contractor to pick up and remove cut trunks and branches more than 20 cm in diameter.
