On Monday, December 16, at 19:00 at Town Hall, 90 Roosevelt Avenue.
This week, Mount Royal home and business owners have received an invoice for their water consumption. As the 2013 readings were taken in the fall instead of the spring, the period covered by the invoice is 15 months and not the usual 12 months, as is allowed under section 66 of our Water Supply By-law No. 1419.
How can I check whether my water consumption has been correctly measured and billed?
Instead of checking the taxation period dates on your invoice, look under the "Meter Reading Details" to check whether in 2013 the amount shown as the previous reading matches the current reading on the invoice you received last year. You will then know whether this year’s measurement started with the right amount.
For more information, please have your invoice handy and dial 514-734-3021 or 514-734-3026.
