Town of Mount Royal publishes all its public calls for tenders in daily paper La Presse.

Calls for tenders greater than $100,000 are posted on Quebec Government's Système électronique d'appel d'offres (SEAO).

Also listed on SEAO: contracts the Town of Mount Royal enters into that involve an expenditure of $25,000 or more.

Contract management policy

The Town of Mount Royal abides by a contract management policy that promotes transparency in the granting of municipal contracts and ensures the respect of all legal parameters in awarding them. It applies to all calls for tenders and requires of suppliers that they comply with its standards.

  • Limited tendering: Quotations requested (by telephone, fax or email) from at least two qualified suppliers.
  • Contract awarded by the Material Resources Division up to $24,999.99 (taxes included) upon approval by the Town manager ($5,000 - $24,999.99.

$25,000 - $99,999.99

  • Limited tendering: Quotations requested from at least two qualified suppliers.
  • Town Council may require that some tender calls apply a bid weighting and evaluating system.
  • Town Council awards the contract by means of a resolution.

$100,000 and over

  • Publicly advertized tender call.
  • Town Council may require that some tender calls apply a bid weighting and evaluating system.
  • Published in the media, usually newspapers La Presse and Constructo, and on an electronic billboard approved by the government of Québec.
