Summer

  • Repair roads and sidewalks
  • Repair catch basins and manholes
  • Mechanically sweep and wash streets
  • Perform general maintenance, weed, water plants
  • Install flowerpots in public spaces
  • Empty Town trash cans

Fall

  • Remove speed bumps
  • Mechanically sweep streets
  • Collect leaves
  • Extract stumps
  • Plant trees
  • Plant bulbs
  • Prune
  • Remove street furniture

Winter

  • Remove snow and spread abrasives
  • Repair potholes
  • Unfreeze public water lines, as required
  • Maintain Town buildings
  • Prepare specifications, order and purchase rose bushes, shrubs and other plants
  • Plan maintenance, repairs and the purchase of street furniture
  • Plan tree planting and stump removal
  • Install and remove holiday decorations
  • Collect and recycle Christmas trees

Year round

  • Detect and repair leaks and blockages in public lines (water distribution and sewer systems)
  • Close and open the main water inlet valve (service valve) for private properties
  • Manage storms (ice storms, rain storms, etc.)
