Registration forms

Registration forms may be:

  • dropped off at the Recreation Centre (credit card or cheque only)
  • sent by fax (credit card only): 514-734-3083
  • sent by mail (credit card or cheque only)

Registration

Spring/summer 2013

Aquatic activities (online only)

  • Tuesday, March 26, from 18:00 to 24:00.

All other activities (and leftover places at aquatic activities, if any)

  • From Tuesday, April 2 at 8:00 until Friday, April 5 at 12:00*: for Town of Mount Royal residents (Online registration begins at 6:00)
  • From Thursday, April 4 at 8:00 until Friday, April 5 at 12:00*: for all
  • Starting Monday, April 8 at 8:30: for all, at the counter

* With the exception of camps, to which you can register until Friday, April 26, 2013, at 16:00. Prices increase by 15% as of 12:00, April 5.

Refund policy

For requests submitted:

  • Before the first week of classes: 85% (see exceptions*)
  • After the first class: 75%
  • After the second class: 50%
  • After the third class: No refund

Note: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required before each deadline, failing which the next administrative charge will apply.

Important: All refund and transfer requests must be submitted in person, in writing, by fax or by e-mail at rec-mt-royal@town.mount-royal.qc.ca requests by telephone will not be accepted.

*Exceptions

  • Multi-theme Day Camp (school break)
    You must submit your request, in writing, at least one week before the start of the camp to obtain 85% of the amount paid, failing which no reimbursement will be made.
  • Summer Day Camps and Specialized Camps
    You must submit your request one month before the beginning of the chosen camp to obtain 85% of the amount paid, failing which no reimbursement will be made.
  • Single-day activities and senior excursions
    You must submit your request at least two weeks before the activity date to obtain 85% of the amount paid, failing which no reimbursement will be made.
  • Overnight Trips Cancellation Policy - Seniors
    Refunds for overnight trips are not issued by the Town of Mount Royal when there is less than 30 days before the departure date. No exceptions will be made to this policy. Please take note that full refunds must be claimed through your cancellation insurance.
  • Illness
    If the registered person is no longer able to attend classes for medical reasons, his/her request will be considered only upon presentation of a medical certificate. If the request is approved after the beginning of activity, the refund will be made on a pro rata basis for the remaining number of classes or days in the program less the 15% administration charge.

Transfers

Requests for transfers will be considered up to one week before the start of the activities.

Exceptions

  • Multi-theme day camp
    Written requests for transfers for the Multi-theme day camp will be accepted up to 48 hours before the first starting day, if space is available. After the date, no transfers will be made.
  • Summer Day Camps and Specialized Camps
    Written requests for transfers for the day camps and specialized camps will be accepted up to two weeks before the beginning of the chosen camp, if space is available. After the date, no transfers will be made.

Refund conditions

Membership fees for the Recreation Centre, tennis and swimming pools are not refundable.

Refunds will be made only by cheque or in the form of a credit to your Visa, MasterCard or Interac card.

Payment or credit will not be made for refunds of $10 or less (after deduction of the administration charge).

Cancellation of activities and opening of new groups

Insufficient registration will result in the cancellation of the activity. Depending on registration and available resources, groups or courses may be added. The Town reserves the right to modify or terminate programs and activities at any time.

Recreation card

Renewable every December 1 at $34.25 per family or $21 per person.

A Recreation membership card is mandatory for everyone, five years and over, who wishes to participate in our programs or use the recreation facilities. Simply present yourself at 60 Roosevelt Avenue, during office hours, to obtain your card.

Membership is free for senior citizens (age 60 and over).

Renewal

Residents who already have cards should return them each year, with their payment, to be stamped “MR” on the reverse.

Adult members (age 21 and over) living under the same roof must provide proof of residence to renew their membership cards.

New card

Have your picture taken at the Recreation Centre and your new card will be given to you immediately. If you or members of your family are unable to have a picture taken in person, simply bring a recent photo to be scanned for your new card.

For all adult members (21 years and over) living in the same household a proof of residence is required for renewal of membership cards.

New residents must also provide a proof of residence at the time of registration (driver’s license, telephone, Hydro or tax bill).

Lost card

Cost to replace a lost or damaged Recreation membership card is $10.
